(1) The functions, duties and powers of the Secretariat shall be as follows except as mentioned in the prevailing law:-
(a) To provide necessary service facilities to the Federal Parliament, Committees, officials and members of the Federal Parliament,
(b) To make the administrative, financial and physical management work orderly and effective for the smooth running of the work of the Federal Parliament,
(c) To make the information system of the Federal Parliament effective and arrange security arrangements in the Federal Parliament premises,
(D) To provide necessary service facilities to the office of the party of the Federal Parliament.
(2) Other work, duties and rights of the Secretariat shall be as prescribed.
